Join Conservation Nebraska for an in-person screening of "Growing Cities," an award-winning film about urban farming in America.
Watch as Nebraska natives, Dan Susman and Andrew Monbouquette, embark on a cross-country journey to answer the question: How are people growing and accessing food in their communities?
Along the way, they meet with urban and backyard farmers who are developing creative solutions to challenges surrounding how food is grown and distributed in this country. From transforming vacant city lots into productive gardens to growing food on rooftops and raising backyard chickens, these innovators are reimagining local food systems in inspiring ways.
A brief discussion will follow the film.
Admission, popcorn, and parking (street parking) are free. We will be in the Auditorium on the 4th floor. Use the elevator located in the Teen area to access the auditorium.
