Documentary Screening: Ignífugas

The Instituto Cervantes present a screening of feminist documentary Ignífugas (2022) in collaboration with the University of Liverpool and the Peers Symposium.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with one of the protagonists and Dr. Abigail Loxham (University of Liverpool)!

Synopsis: Ignífugas is a documentary project developed from a feminist intergenerational and intersectional perspective. In it are the life stories of seven women: Laura; Naira; Eva; Mar; Rafaela; Paula and Paquita. Their experiences are shaped by gender and class which have been systematically invisibilized. Despite the age difference they all share experiences of inequality violence and precariousness.

El Instituto Cervantes presenta (2022) en colaboración con la Universidad de Liverpool y el Peers Symposium la proyección del documental feminista Ignífugas (2022).

La proyección irá seguida de un Q&A con una de las protagonistas y la Dra. Abigail Loxham (Universidad de Liverpool).

Sinopsis: "Ignífugas" es un proyecto documental elaborado desde una perspectiva feminista intergeneracional e interseccional. En él recogemos las historias de vida de siete mujeres: Laura; Naira; Eva; Mar; Rafaela; Paula y Paquita. Sus experiencias se encuentran atravesadas por el género y la clase historias que han sido sistemáticamente invisibilizadas. Pese a la diferencia de edad todas ellas comparten vivencias cargadas de desigualdad violencia y precariedad.
