To help residents securely dispose of personal and confidential documents, the Village will host a free document shredding event on Saturday, May 30, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Lansing Municipal Center parking lot, 3141 Ridge Rd. Participants should enter from Ridge Road at the back of the building.
Lansing residents can bring up to three boxes of personal documents per vehicle for onsite shredding. To participate, vehicles must display a current Village sticker.
In addition to shredding services, the Village will collect non-perishable food donations to support the Lansing Community Food Pantry. Residents are encouraged to bring canned goods, pasta, rice, peanut butter, and other shelf-stable items to help their neighbors in need.
