Docu Screening | Afrosphere Season 2 & Entre Deux Mondes

Creatorland Studios and WSC invite you to a free community screening celebrating local filmmakers, artists, music, and Ottawa’s vibrant creative community.

Join us for the screening of two original documentary series produced in partnership with Bell Fibe TV1.

One of Canada’s leading television series exploring Afrobeats returns for a second season.

Across eight episodes and two seasons, Afrosphere traces the journey of Afrobeats from its roots in West Africa to its growing presence in Canada’s capital. The series explores the genre’s evolution, its fusion with local music scenes, and its power to connect communities, inspire social change, and shape the future of African music and culture.

This short documentary series follows three creative women living in Ottawa as they navigate life between two worlds: pursuing their dreams as artists and creatives while working traditional jobs to support themselves.

Through honest and intimate stories, the series explores ambition, sacrifice, identity, resilience, and what it takes to continue creating while balancing the realities of everyday life.

This screening is open to everyone. Bring your friends and family and spend the evening enjoying music, meaningful stories, and community while supporting local filmmakers and creatives.

Light snacks and drinks will be provided, and guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks to enjoy picnic-style. You are also encouraged to bring a lawn chair and picnic blanket for added comfort.

Admission is free, but registration is required.
