Doctors for Choice UK invites all healthcare students (from medicine, nursing, midwifery, physician associate, and Ph*rm*cy programmes), to join us for a practical, evidence-based introduction to abortion care. We will be exploring abortion care as an essential part of healthcare through expert talks, panel discussions, and interactive workshops covering:

· UK law and abortion provision

· Clinical aspects of abortion care

· Stigma and respectful, patient-centred practice

· Practical workshops including manual vacuum aspiration (MVA), communication skills, and a creative Abortion in the Arts workshop

· Panel Q&A with abortion providers offering first-hand insights into their careers and abortion provision in the UK

By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a good understanding of how abortion is provided in the UK, how you can support patients with competency, compassion and respect and how you can develop your interest in abortion care.

Ticket price includes tea/coffee/biscuits at morning and afternoon break.
