What You'll Experience at Doctor For A Day, Auckland
Step into the world of medicine for a day! This hands-on experience is designed for students in Years 11–13 who are serious about studying medicine in New Zealand, Australia, or the UK.
Please note: Each student must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This event is open only to students in Years 11–13.

- Clinical Skills: Practise taking vitals, diagnosis techniques, and patient care
- Surgical Skills: Learn suturing and test your skills on real simulators
- UCAT Strategy Session: Time-saving tips, tricks, and traps to avoid
- Interview Simulation: Watch real med students re-enact MMI, panel, and semi-structured interviews

Your Afternoon Roadmap
After our introductory session and lunch, the afternoon splits into tailored sessions for parents and students, so everyone walks away with the exact strategy they need:
- Parents (12:45 PM – 1:45 PM): Join a deep dive into the Admissions Roadmap and support strategies. Afterwards, you're welcome to stay and observe the student workshops in action.
- Students (12:45 PM – 2:45 PM): Move through three high-impact workshops — Clinical Skills, UCAT Strategy, and Interview Prep. Our small-group format ensures every student gets hands-on with all three before the day is done.

Info: In this session, you’ll discover why medicine is such a rewarding career, explore the different pathways to becoming a doctor, and get an insider’s look at what life is really like in medical school. We’ll also break down the entry requirements you’ll need to meet, so you can start planning your journey with confidence.

Clinical & Suture Workshops
Info: Learn Clinical Skills: Practice vitals, diagnosis techniques, and patient care by learning how to use oximeters, blood pressure cuffs, sling bandages and more!
Surgical Skills: Learn suturing on real suture kits, led by current medical students.
