About the Resource
Introduction to the Nepali Language was developed by Dr. Mark Turin (Associate Professor at UBC), Binod Shrestha (Nepali Language Teacher) and Salina Dolmo Lama (UBC Graduate Alumni) with support from the UBC OER Affordability Grant Program and UBC Himalaya Program. The resource offers a structured introduction to the Devanāgarī script to support the development of speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Nepali. Designed as a living and adaptable resource, the resource is freely available through Pressbooks and will continue to evolve through user feedback.Who is this event for?
Family and children, Nepali learners and heritage learners, teachers and educators, students and university learners, Nepali speakers of all levels, people interested in Nepal and Nepali culture, researchers who have studied or conducted research in Nepal - everyone is welcome!Come explore, come share. Help us shape this resource for the many ways people connect with Nepali language and Nepal.
