DMV Soldiers Pro Basketball Tryouts
About this Event
The 2026 DMV Soldiers Pro Basketball Tryouts will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM ET at the Kilby Athletic Center, Severn Campus of Annapolis Area Christian School (109 Burns Crossing Rd, Severn, MD 21144).
Player check-in begins at 12:30 PM ET. All participants are required to arrive by 12:30 PM to complete check-in, receive their official DMV Soldiers tryout jersey, and prepare for on-court evaluations. Tryouts will begin promptly at 1:30 PM and conclude at 3:30 PM. Late arrivals may not be permitted to participate.
Participants will compete for an invitation to DMV Soldiers Training Camp as the organization prepares for the 2027 season in The Basketball League (TBL). Team coaches, scouts, and basketball operations personnel will evaluate every participant for potential training camp invitations and roster opportunities.
This is an open professional basketball tryout. While collegiate, overseas, and professional playing experience is encouraged, all serious and competitive athletes are welcome to showcase their abilities.
Players selected from the tryout will be invited to training camp, where they will compete for a paid professional basketball contract for the 2027 DMV Soldiers season. This is your opportunity to take your game to the next level and earn a place with one of The Basketball League's rising professional organizations.

About the DMV SoldiersThe DMV Soldiers are a professional basketball organization based in Southern Maryland and proud members of The Basketball League (TBL).
Following a successful inaugural season, the organization continues building a championship culture centered on professionalism, player development, and community engagement. The DMV Soldiers are committed to providing talented athletes with opportunities to compete professionally while advancing their basketball careers both domestically and internationally.
The 2027 TBL season will feature a 24-game regular season beginning at the end of February into March 2027, followed by postseason play. Training camp is scheduled to begin in February 2027.

Meet Head Coach Darryl Proctor
The DMV Soldiers are proud to have Darryl Proctor leading the team as Head Coach for the 2027 season.
A DMV native with collegiate and professional playing experience, Proctor brings a strong basketball background, leadership, and a winning mentality to the Soldiers. He played professionally in Denmark after a standout collegiate career that included time at Coppin State University and UMBC.
At UMBC, Proctor helped lead the Retrievers to a 24–9 season, an America East Championship, and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2008. He later earned recognition in the UMBC Athletics Hall of Fame and was named to the America East's Top 25 list recognizing outstanding players in conference history.
Coach Proctor will lead player evaluations at the 2026 DMV Soldiers Pro Basketball Tryouts as the organization identifies players for training camp and potential roster opportunities for the 2027 TBL season.
Players should come prepared to compete, demonstrate their skills, and show they have what it takes to play at the professional level.
