DJNBC -- Poetry & Creative Writing Workshop for Black & Disabled Youth
About this Event
In this warm, inviting and communal session, Disability Justice Network BC is thrilled to welcome Black, disabled youth to explore the power and beauty of poetry and storytelling, alongside acclaimed Vancouver-based poet and spoken word artist Brandon Wint.
This session is part of DJNBC's project, where we seek to learn from Black, disabled youth about their experiences in the classroom, and their lives as students. As such, this session intends to help young people harness the tools of poetry and narrative in order to write creatively and passionately about their own lives.
** Youth who participate in the session can receive an honourarium of $50.
