Djembe Building workshop
About this Event
You'll begin with an empty wooden shell and the neccesary materials. We'll set up the rope system and mount the skin on the drum in the workshop on a lovely Devon Farm.
We have a good choice of quality hardwood Djembes, West African goat skins, rope and metal rings available and included in the price. Or if you have your own Djembe that you want to work on, get in touch for the price.
There will be teas provided and camping is available.
There are a maximum of 5 places available per workshop to ensure a focused and intimate learning environment.
There will also be a second day planned for later in the summer (approx mid August) to tune and finsh the drums once they have fully dried).
After working we'll also have the chance to play around the evening fire.
Allan has been building Djembes for over 20 years and enjoys guiding people in the process and passing on the knowledge of drum making.
