STATIC AGE is an afternoon devoted to the weirder, darker, louder, dreamier, janglier, noisier corners of 80s and 90s alternative music.
At Static Age, "alternative" isn't just the commercial "Alternative Rock" category that emerged in the 90s. We love our Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins, but this will be a day of "alternative" in the broader sense of music that simply existed outside the mainstream.
Expect a smörgåsbord of sound including punk, postpunk, new wave, synth, electro, goth 'n' deathrock, indie, riot grrrl, britpop, grunge, dreampop, shoegaze, jangle pop, and whatever else finds its way into the mix.
