DJ Lucas + Shea + I$AAC GROOVE

DJ Lucas (Lucas Kendall) seems to be able to rap about almost anything. A chronicler of suburban Western Massachusetts, DJ Lucas’s lyrics span Carrie Underwood to Charles Neville on one axis to finding worms under logs and selling Molly for tuition payments on another. The album artwork for Americana is a photograph of a crane installing a cellphone tower disguised as a tree. I recently bought the new iPhone, which now makes use of 5G, and on it I saw Edward Burtynsky’s Breezewood, Pennsylvania, as the teaser for DJ Lucas’s newest album, Lil Old Town.
