Put on a VR headset, sit behind real DJ equipment, and go head-to-head with your date, friend, or partner in a night unlike anything else in San Diego.
DJ Date Night is a fun, guided 2-hour experience at Cuts DJ Academy featuring:
- Three secret VR challenges
- Real DJ controllers and professional equipment
- Music, teamwork, and friendly competition
- Jump scares and surprise effects
- A live points system
- A winner’s podium at the end of the night
- A free Cuts DJ Academy t-shirt with every seat
You do not need DJ experience. You do not need VR experience. Our headset and crew guide you through everything.
Come for a first date, anniversary, birthday, double date, girls’ night, guys’ night, or just because dinner and a movie are getting predictable.
What to Expect
You’ll be seated at a real DJ setup and guided through three different VR challenges. Each challenge tests something different: music, timing, teamwork, quick hands, and your ability to keep your cool.
The challenges are a surprise, so we won’t spoil them here. You’ll discover them when the headset goes on.
At the end, we’ll add up the scores, announce the winners, and raise the podium.

- This is a 2-hour experience.
- Guests must be 18 or older.
- No DJ or VR experience is required.
- Guests remain seated during the experience.
- The event may include jump scares, sudden loud sounds, flashing or strobe lights, fog, dark rooms, and other surprise effects.
- Please let staff know if you need a break at any time.
- No alcohol is served.
- Free parking is available.
- Tickets are non-refundable, but seats may be gifted to friends.
