The April Watercolor Class will feature a purple/blue IRIS flower! Everything you need will be supplied, as well as a pattern and transfer paper to use for outlining the 8" X 11" shape onto watercolor paper . Additionally, each painter will have his/her own Step by Step instructions with pictures, along with watercolors, brushes, paper, and an 11" X 14" black mat for the finished product. Instruction will include varied techniques, including white back-lighting for colored watercolor pencil detailing and the use of black rolling ink pens for outlining. You'll also learn how to use a paper towel to make the softest of backgrounds perfectly matched to the Iris itself!Remember that it doesn't matter if you have ever done watercolor before - it's no problem! We'll use paper towels and practice paper to experiment with loading a brush and trying a few strokes before applying paint to the actual painting.
