DIY Repair a Table Lamp or Upcycle to Make One!

Join us for a fun-filled morning of hands-on creativity and learn how to repair your table lamp or upcycle another object to create a lamp! Whether you have a broken lamp that needs fixing or want to give a new life to an old one, this event is perfect for you.

On Saturday, October 26th, 2024, starting at 9:30 AM, we will gather at 100 Terrace St. to share our passion for DIY projects and unleash our inner artists.

During this event, we will provide step-by-step guidance on lamp repair techniques and innovative upcycling ideas. Discover how to rewire a lamp, replace a socket, or even transform unconventional objects into unique table lamps. Our experienced instructor will be there to assist you throughout the process.

Get ready to have a blast while learning new skills and meeting fellow DIY enthusiasts. Bring your own lamp or use the materials we provide to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Instructor Peg Preble has been working as a licensed electrician in the Boston area for more than 20 years. Previously, she was an auto mechanic, which is where she discovered her love of wiring. Peg specializes in older houses.

Workshop Policies

Payment must be made at the time of registration through Eventbrite. If you are unable to attend and wish to cancel your registration, you may do so through Eventbrite, under the following conditions:

1. If at least one week (seven days) or more before the class, we will refund half the cost of the class.
2. All other cancellations are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Only those who are registered will be able to attend the workshop (no unregistered companions). Contact us if you need reasonable accommodations.

Audio or video recording of workshops is not allowed.

Please refrain from cell phone use during workshops.

Photo/Video Consent and General Release Form

By registering for this class, I hereby authorize Boston Building Resources to use pictures of me (or my child/ward) taken in a photograph, digital image, videotape, motion picture, and/or testimonial (written words). The undersigned hereby releases Boston Building Resources, its agents or employees, as well as any and all users and exhibitors of said pictures, from any and all claims, demands, accountings, and causes for which the aforesaid videotape, testimonial, motion picture, digital image, or photograph likeness may be used pursuant to this Consent and General Release. It is also my understanding that I will receive no compensation for my likeness or testimonial. If I opt out, I will sign a form at the registration desk before class stating that I do not want to be in photos.
