Interested in building your own packraft? A packraft is an amazing craft that is stable, easy to inflate, easy to store, and super easy to transport. No more hoisting your boat up onto the roof rack! Building your own packraft can be a rewarding, yet substantial project. Bruce Campbell is our resident packraft expert and has helped dozens of students build custom boats.The first class will introduce the fabric, heat sealing with a small iron, and the construction sequence. You will be provided a form to use for the tube seams. Before class, please unroll the kit. Cut out the floor and tube sections 2 and 3. Roll the fabric without folds or creases and bring it all to class. Bring the scrap fabric to use for practice and attachment points. If everyone comes prepared, the first four-hour class should be enough time to install tube sections 3 and 2, and the seam between them.
