DIY Air Purifier Workshop at the Delta Clubhouse

Did you know: Solano County has 40% more hospitalizations due to asthma than the state average - and the 94571 zip code sees nearly double the rate of hospitalizations from asthma, compared to the state average?

Where does air pollution come from? How does air pollution impact you, your family, neighbors, and community? When wildfires reduce air quality, what can you do?

Dr. Nick Spada will be joining us to answer all these questions and lead a workshop on how to build a cost-effective home air purifier.

We will be giving away the materials to build your own air purifier (Corsi-Rosenthal Box) to the first few participants who register (please select a "DIY kit" ticket). Only one set per household. Households are ineligible if they previously received the materials from an air purifier workshop hosted by Sustainable Solano. Materials will be provided at the workshop.

Dr. Spada is a scientist at the Air Quality Research Center of the University of California, Davis. His research supports large-scale national air quality monitoring, as well as targeted studies in front-line communities regarding heavy metals.
