Diwali Fest 2026 – Participant Waiver & Release
By purchasing a ticket, registering for, or attending Diwali Fest 2026, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in and attendance at a community event may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to crowds, slips, trips, falls, physical activity, food-related incidents, and other unforeseen circumstances.
I voluntarily assume all reasonable risks associated with my attendance and participation in the event.
2. Release and Waiver
To the extent permitted by applicable law, I release and hold harmless Indians In Calgary, its organizers, volunteers, directors, representatives, sponsors, partners, venue operators, performers, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from my attendance or participation in the event, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.
3. Children and Minors
Parents or legal guardians are responsible for supervising children and minors in their care at all times during the event.
By registering a minor, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they have the authority to provide consent on the minor's behalf and accept responsibility for their participation and attendance.
4. Photography and Video
I acknowledge that photographs and videos may be taken during the event for promotional, educational, archival, and community-related purposes by or on behalf of Indians In Calgary.
By attending the event, I consent to the use of my image and/or likeness in photographs, videos, social media, websites, promotional materials, and other communications related to Indians In Calgary, unless otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
5. Personal Belongings
I understand that Indians In Calgary and the venue are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
6. Event Changes
Indians In Calgary reserves the right to modify the event schedule, programming, performers, venue arrangements, or other event details when necessary.
7. Ticket Policy
All ticket purchases are subject to the ticketing platform's applicable terms and conditions. Unless otherwise specifically stated by the organizers, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
8. Acceptance
By completing registration or purchasing a ticket, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to this Waiver and Release and the event's terms and conditions.
For participants under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must accept these terms on their behalf.
