Divine Schism are so excited to be releasing Top Shortage's debut EP Contre Nature on Fri 13th March - they are one of the most exciting bands in the UK and we're lucky to have them in Oxford!We are celebrating their release with an all ages show at The Nest with US art punk group Perennial, London's alt-grunge-core Dogviolet and Aftercare, Oxford's hot new shemogaze outfit!
We first discussed music with Nora, the singer of Top Shortage, when she worked at one of our favourite pubs and she said she was forming a band to play a Divine Schism show - we were totally blown away when Top Shortage formed and played to a packed our Library basement in November 2023 - their swelling, gloriously ramshackle yet concise multi-lingual post punk astonished us then and has had us on tenterhooks ever since!
