Divine Movement: Sacred Sensuality Twerkshop

Liberate your mind, booty, & soul in this playful expressive movement workshop designed to expand your consciousness and uplift your spirit! Feel empowered to move in a way that feels juicy and authentic to your soul's expression. Twerking activates the root, sacral, and solar plexus chakras; releasing stuck emotions and awakening our radiant energy. It's time to break out of our limiting patterns of thinking and feeling and step into our highest self that is wild & free!

Twerking traces back to West Africa and was known as the Mapouka Dance. It was a celebratory dance of joy and was widely accepted because people believed it led to encounters with GOD! The actual term “twerking” comes from the New Orleans bounce scene in the early 90’s. This ancient dance, focusing on movements in the hips, is a fun and empowering way to express our sexual energy consciously rather than suppressing it or giving it away.

This sacred ceremony is a blend of cacao, empowerment coaching, meditation, yoga, breathwork, movement arts, dance medicine, spiritual healing, and trauma release, to let go your shit and inspire you to express your unique gifts in the world! This is an invitation to come as you are - Our bodies, including our booties, were meant to MOVE as we activate our innate POWER!

Bring a yoga mat & water.

You are encouraged to wear an outfit that expresses your wild sexy self! The Invitiaion is to come in short shorts or looser fitting pants, to feel your booty jiggle. Protective knee wear encouraged but not required.
