The cards are calling you to congregate on the 15th February at the establishment known as Mojos Bar in order to practice collective soothsaying in the form of musical enchantment and rapture, ie: COME TO MOJOS TO FOR THE SINGLE LAUNCH OF NIKA MO'S HOTTEST HIT, 'DIVINATION'!
The Divination law grows deeper and more elaborate in every iteration. Originally released in 2018 on Nika Mo's debut ep, messhead, this single is now reimagined and recorded with a full band. True to the live renditions played across Boorloo, Walyalup and the sou' west since messhead's release, the 2025 instalment of Divination hits with all the same earworm energy plus more. Janky electric guitar, an irresistible drumbeat backbone and the pièce de résistance syncopated vocal hook that twines and turns the threads of time and fortune into one.
Featuring support from Greta Kelly (of innumerable local acts) sporting exceptional indie songwriting. Fresh on the scene, this trio rocks the convergence of unpredictable lyricism and hooky yet off-kilter riff writing — see it to believe it!
We also gather to collectively summon the resurrection of Perth's inimitable hypnagogic popsters Gazey, aka the Padmanabham brothers Ezekiel (Scratching) and Josiah (Grievous Bodily Calm) performing in duo mode. Honestly some of the best music to ever come out of this city, so you BETTER be there to witness this rare reemergence.
