As a part of the City of Fremantle’s commitment to reconciliation, we are pleased to announce the next event as a part of the City’s Truth Telling program: FOCUS: First Nation Films
Over 2 Birak summer nights, join us under the stars in our scenic front garden to enjoy a selection of documentary feature and short films as part of City of Fremantle’s premier Indigenous focused film program.
This event will bring together a tapestry of films that focus on First Nation stories that speak to the impacts of colonisation and to the resilience and self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
With your host Ron Bradfield Jnr, and guest speakers including one of Australia’s finest contemporary historical documentary makers Tom Murray and cinematographer & director Allan Collins, considered and special weekend of free music, conversations and films is a unique opportunity not to be missed.
The Sunday evening showing will follow our Sunday Music program, which sees Kiwirrkurra Band take to the stage.
