Join Terry Papavasilis, dive instructor and PhD student in the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in Biology, Biochemistry, and Chemistry at East Carolina University. With a concentration in Biology, and research focused on marine biology and conservation. Her presentation will be on how shipwrecks are strategically placed for use as artificial reefs off the coast of North Carolina to sustain fish populations. Also, how those reefs form by examining ecological succession, and community composition through photo documentation. In addition, how sea temperature rise is affecting geographic migration of marine species.
