Ditch Mafia: Intracoastal Waterway Cleanup

Ditch Mafia is a locally owned and operated online apparel store in Myrtle Beach. With a passion for being on the water, we wanted to schedule an event to help keep it clean.

Clean Our Waterways - Winyah Rivers Alliances Projects - Non-Profit :

Volunteers will be able to go onto boat landings, beaches, river banks or in the waterway by way of boat.

Trashbags, medical kits, grabbers, and other resources needed for cleanup are to be provided on Friday night at the 'Captain's Meeting'.

There will be a dumpster on site for volunteers to dump trash collected. Based on # of bags of trash cleaned up and collected, additional prizes will be awarded.

THIS IS A FREE-VOLUNTEER EVENT. However, there will be VIP packages available for $30 dollars per person that will include: a volunteer t-shirt, a can cooler, sunglasses, and 5 tickets to be entered into the raffle. (Portion of Proceeds of VIP packages will be donated to MBFD to restore Carolina Forest from the wildfires, and portions of proceeds will go to River Cleanups in the future)

There will be a meeting on Friday night, May 2nd, to give out packages and to pre-sell tickets for the raffle. Proceeds from raffle will be donated to the Non-Profit Organization Winyah Rivers Alliance, and to help restore Carolina Forest due to the Wildfires.

We will be hosting a raffle that you may purchase tickets for when you arrive, we will have sponsors and prizes from various companies.

The Boathouse is a prime spot for summer concerts, great food, and cold drinks. This event will have live music hosted on the stage in the Best Backyard in Town at the Landing at the Boathouse.

Info: Everyone will go their separate ways for cleaning, we will have many people out monitoring the cleanup and helping out if there are any questions or concerns. Once we have collected trash bags from Myrtle Beach and the surrounding areas on the waterway, we will meet back at The Boathouse to tally trash bags, go forth with our raffle, and thank our volunteers from the bottom of our hearts.
