Distributed Wind for Your Farm, Rural Business, or Community

Join us for a FREE educational workshop to learn whether distributed wind is a good fit for your farm, rural business, or community hosted by the Oklahoma Renewable Energy Council. Breakfast and lunch will be provided!

Attendees will hear from local and national experts on distributed wind technology and applications. The agenda includes:

• Introduction to Distributed Wind, where we will discuss what distributed means, the technology involved, and why it might be a good fit for you.
• The Life Cycle of Distributed Wind, where we will discuss the installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of distributed wind projects.
• Interconnection and Utility Considerations, where we will hear from an electric cooperative about how distributed energy resources fit into the grid and the process of interconnecting your project.
• System Resiliency, where we hear about why someone would want to install batteries, how to go about getting a battery, and the best battery technology to use.

The afternoon will provide a Project Planning Session where attendees can learn about why distributed wind may be a good fit, where it makes sense to install, and the nuts and bolts of project financing and cost considerations.
