Terms & Conditions for Ticket Buyers
By purchasing a ticket for the 50:HERTZ CLUB TRAIN during the Amsterdam Dance Event 2024 (ADE) and/or stepping on board, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Meaning everybody who boards the train, including crew, artists & guests, agree to comply with all of the following:
1. Age Restriction
All attendees must be at least 18 years old. Valid, original identification must be presented upon entry (no copies or photos). No refunds will be provided if entry is denied due to failure to meet the age requirement.
2. Food and Drink Policy
Attendees are not allowed to bring their own drinks. Small, healthy snacks such as hand fruit will be permitted. Food and beverages will be available for purchase on the train.
3. Media Consent
By attending the event, you consent to being photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded by our media team. These images and recordings may be used for promotional purposes across various media platforms without compensation.
4. Ticket Transfer
Tickets may be transferred to another individual via Ticketswap or through private arrangements. The event organizers are not responsible for ticket transfer disputes or issues.
5. Health & Safety
Attendees with any medical conditions or sensitivities, such as epilepsy or other health concerns, should be aware that the event will include strobe lighting and loud music, which could trigger health issues. Participation is at the individual’s own risk. If you require prescription medication during the event, you must bring a doctor’s prescription, which may be requested at the entrance. In certain cases, you may be asked to deposit your medication with our IABO (first-aid personnel) or medical sta] on board for safekeeping, and they will provide it to you as needed during the event. We strongly advise that if you have any special medical conditions that could require attention during the event, you notify our medical sta] at the beginning of the event. Please ensure they are informed of any necessary precautions or care instructions to ensure your safety. Remember, this event takes place on a moving train, and it will not be possible to disembark easily in the event of a medical emergency.
While we strive to be inclusive and welcome all guests, if your medical condition poses significant risks to yourself or others, please consider whether this event is suitable for you.
Accessibility Notice: Unfortunately, due to the limited space and the design of the train, this event is not accessible to individuals in wheelchairs. We would love to welcome everyone, but the narrow corridors and confined spaces on the train make it unsafe for both wheelchair users and other guests trying to navigate the train. There is, however, seating available in the chill-out areas for guests who may need to rest or have di]iculty standing for long periods.
6. Liability
By boarding the train, you acknowledge that you are entering at your own risk. 50:HERTZ has no control or oversight over the technical aspects, logistics, or mechanical safety of the train. All necessary safety and operational checkups are handled exclusively by Railexperts, a highly reputable company with a proven track record. While every e]ort is made to ensure a safe experience, malfunctions or accidents may still occur, including emergency brakes being used, which could result in serious injuries. You accept full responsibility for any personal injuries, health risks, or incidents that may arise during the event. In such cases, attendees must rely on their own medical insurance. The promoters, artists, 50:HERTZ, and any associated partners or sponsors are not liable for any injuries, technical malfunctions, or operational failures related to the train. All technical and safety-related liability falls under the responsibility of Railexperts.
Additionally, attendees are responsible for any damage they cause to the train, its equipment, or event decorations. The organization reserves the right to hold individuals financially liable for any damages resulting from their actions or negligence.
7. Timing and Attendance
The train will depart at the specified times. Attendees are responsible for arriving on time. The exact departure and arrival times may vary due to factors such as railway construction or operational delays beyond the control of the organizers. Late arrivals will not be permitted to board, and no refunds will be issued. Stay updated with the latest event information through o]icial communications or the ADE website.
8. Zero Tolerance Policy
The event strictly adheres to a zero-tolerance policy regarding illegal substances, violence, harassment, or disruptive behaviour. Any violation will result in immediate ejection from the event, without refund, and possible police involvement.
9. No Smoking & Vaping
Smoking, including vaping, is strictly prohibited on the train. Violations of this rule may result in immediate removal from the event, without refund.
10. Misbehaviour and Security
Attendees who misbehave may be detained by security in a designated area until the train reaches the next station. In severe cases, individuals may be handed over to the police. Security reserves the right to take necessary actions to ensure the safety of all passengers.
11. Event Duration and Exit Policy
The event consists of a 4-hour train journey. It is not possible to leave the train during this time, except in emergencies or enforced removal by security. For sunrise showcases only, there will be a mid-point stop at Amsterdam Central Station, where attendees may exit the train but will not be permitted to re-board.
12. Refund Policy
In the event of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, ticket holders will be refunded the full amount paid for the ticket. The organization reserves the right to determine if circumstances warrant a refund. Since this event takes place on a moving train, technical malfunctions or operational issues outside the control of 50:HERTZ may occur. If the event can still proceed in any of the wagons, no refund will be issued. 50:HERTZ is not responsible for technical failures on the train, which are under the supervision of the train company, Railexperts. If a malfunction prevents some guests from boarding, they will receive a full refund.
13. Personal Responsibility
By attending, you agree that all risks, including accidents or injuries, are assumed by the attendee. The event organizers and train company are not responsible for any incidents occurring during boarding, disembarking, or while on the train. Any damage to the train or event equipment caused by an attendee will result in financial liability for repairs or replacement.
14. Delays and Missed Information
It is your responsibility to stay updated with all event information, which will be published on the ADE website and through o]icial event emails. If you fail to check the updated information and arrive late, no refunds will be given.
15. Contact Details and Marketing
By accepting these terms, you consent to receiving relevant event information and future marketing communications from the organizer of the party you purchased the ticket from, as well as from 50:HERTZ and Drifters.
16. Bar Policy
Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase on the train. All attendees are expected to drink responsibly. The bar reserves the right to deny service to any individuals appearing intoxicated. A 10% bar kickback will go to the artist involved in the showcase.
17. Boarding & Departure Information and QR-Code
Important information regarding the event, such as the specific departure location at Amsterdam Central Station and the QR code required for entry, will be published on 50:HERTZ’s o]icial platforms. Boarding will commence approximately 30 minutes prior to the departure time, so please arrive half an hour earlier on the platform for security and ticket checks. All guests will be subjected to a mandatory security search for drugs, weapons, or prohibited items. No one will be allowed on the train without undergoing
this security search. This procedure is required by both ADE and the municipality of Amsterdam to ensure the safety of all passengers.
18. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions. The event organizers reserve the right to modify these terms without prior notice.
19. Compliance with Train StaZ Instructions
All attendees are required to comply with the instructions provided by the sta], including bar sta], event organizers, and most importantly, the personnel of the train itself. The sta] from Railexperts, who operate the train, will always have the final say in matters of safety and conduct. Event organizers, including 50:HERTZ and Drifters, must adhere to the decisions made by Railexperts on issues related to safety and operational conduct. In cases of non-compliance, Railexperts reserve the right to remove or detain any individual who endangers the safety of the train or other attendees. This applies to everyone onboard, including artists and crew members.
20. Railexperts and Operational Responsibility
Railexperts hold full responsibility for the operation of the train, including all aspects related to its route, stops, and interactions with other transport systems such as NS and Pro Rail. All technical aspects and the smooth running of the train are under their supervision. 50:HERTZ is not responsible for any delays, route changes, or technical malfunctions of the train. This responsibility lies entirely with Railexperts, ensuring that the highest standards of safety are met at all times.
Celebrate Safe Guidelines
As part of ADE’s Celebrate Safe initiative, we fully support and adhere to the following guidelines to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests:
Look After Yourself and Others: Plan your event experience with care, including your attire and transportation. Discuss your plans with friends and ensure everyone’s safety. Watch out for each other and prioritize well-being.
Using Alcohol or Other Substances: Every substance carries risks. If you choose to use, be informed, test before use, and always respect the legal implications.
All events have a zero-tolerance policy towards illegal substances. Deposit any drugs before entry.
Protect Your Ears: Keep a safe distance from speakers, wear earplugs, and take breaks to relax your ears.
Take Breaks to Cool and Chill: It’s important to take breaks during the event. Hydrate, find a quiet spot to relax, and avoid overheating.
Respect Boundaries: Always seek consent in interactions and flirts. Respect personal boundaries and report any harassment. Mutual respect is key to ensuring a positive atmosphere.
Safe Sex: If intimacy occurs, make sure it’s consensual and prioritize safe practices to avoid unwanted consequences.
Security & Medical Crew: Our security and medical teams are here to keep you safe. If you feel unwell or see someone who needs help, alert the crew. Being honest about what you’ve consumed won’t get you into trouble—your safety is our priority.
First Aid: If you or someone else feels unwell, don’t hesitate to seek help from our first aid team. They’re trained to help and maintain confidentiality.
Get Home Safely: Plan your way back home in advance. If you’ve consumed substances, don’t drive. Ensure that your ride home is with a sober driver.
Recovery After the Event: After the event, make sure to get plenty of rest and recover with good food and sleep.
