Distant Shores – Vernissage International Art Exhibition
About this Event
Join us for the opening of Distant Shores, an international group exhibition presented by Nartwork APS, bringing together the works of 27 contemporary artists from 18 countries.
Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Cascais provides the perfect setting for a reflection on distance, migration, memory, and the sense of belonging. Through painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and digital art, the exhibition invites visitors to explore the horizon as a symbolic threshold between separation and encounter. In a world shaped by conflict, migration, and constant transformation, distant shores become metaphors for resilience, change, and human connection.
The vernissage will take place on Saturday, 12 September 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at Sestante Art Gallery in Cascais, Portugal. During the opening, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the exhibition curators, Rossella Bellan and Antonietta Panico, together with some of the participating artists.
The exhibition catalogue, featuring critical essays by Maria Aurelia Catalano Rossi Danielli and Gianpasquale Greco, will be available free of charge while supplies last. A light refreshment will follow the presentation.
Admission is free. Registration is recommended.
