Poetry is a literary gift that God has given us as a means to describe, enjoy, and propagate beauty.
Our disputatio speaker on November 13th will be Dr. Jim Scott Orrick, who has been involved in preaching ministry since 1978. He is also a college professor, having taught at several colleges and universities and currently serving as an adjunct faculty member at the Institute of Public Theology. He is the author of several books on literature, philosophy, and church history, including: 'A Year with George Herbert: A Guide to Fifty-Two of His Best-Loved Poems', 'Seven Thoughts Every Christian Ought to Think Every Day', and 'Mere Calvinism'.
He is an avid outdoorsman and has been a beekeeper for many decades. He and his wife, Carol, are the parents of six grown daughters.
