Disney's Camp Rock the Musical: Auditions

Little Root Theatre Troupe is holding auditions for its production of Disney’s Camp Rock the Musical on Monday, August 31st at 6PM, Tuesday September 1st at 6PM and call backs on Wednesday September 2nd at 6PM at 2|42 Community Church 24800 Eureka Rd. Taylor MI 49180.
Walk-in auditions will only be allowed if the production team can make time with no guarantees. Auditionees do not need to attend both sessions, but are welcome to do so. If audition slots become limited, the production team may contact you to remove a duplicate entry if needed. Callbacks are invite only and will be communicated on Tuesday night.
Our audition form, audition sign up, and tentative audition schedule are posted on our website! The schedule is built to the best of the production team’s ability but we reserve the right to change if needed, and will alert you accordingly with notice. Please complete online registration prior to auditions, including as many conflicts as you are able throughout the rehearsal and run of the show. Conflicts will be taken into consideration but if persistent conflicts are present, this can affect the outcome of casting decisions.
This is a ONE ACT production. The age range is 9-21 years at the time of auditions. Children 5-9 will be considered ONLY for select numbers and will not be required at all rehearsals (seperate schedule will be provided). This show will consist of an ensemble that will have featured roles within the age range, as well as a kids ensemble to accommodate additional cast members in select numbers (numbers not provided until casted). Some auditionees who fall between the two age ranges may be asked to be on either side of the production (select numbers OR full ensemble).
Each child auditioning must prepare an audition piece from our approved list and a short dance. Materials are listed under “Audition Materials” on our website. Auditionees must prepare the audition dance in advance (this will be available no later than August 3rd). Any children auditioning in the younger range can prepare an audition piece to sing of their choice.
Rehearsals will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8:30pm and Saturdays from 9am-12PM at 2|42 Community Church in Taylor, MI. Production dates are 11/12 at 7:00pm, 11/13 at 7:00pm, and 11/14 at 2:30pm and 7:00pm.
No video auditions will be accepted.
Please note that Little Root has a participation fee of $130 per child. Children 5-9 casted in the select numbers have a participation fee of $60.
