Registration & Format:

Seat reservations for this event may be requested on Eventbrite beginning Tuesday, December 10. Payment will be collected on the day of the event.

Registration is $25 per person. Payment will be collected in-person on Sat, Jan 18, 9:00-10:45AM. Player cap is 32 players.

This is a Swiss-style tournament. Each round is 50-minutes in length and will be played in Best-of-3 format. The number of rounds in the tournament will be dependent on the number of attendees. Playoff rounds will be played after the Swiss rounds including players with the highest standings. The playoffs are best-of-3, single-elimination rounds until one undefeated player is remaining as the tournament champion.

8 players: 3 rounds, no cut

9-16 players: 4 rounds, cut to top 4

17-32 players: 5 rounds, cut to top 8

Prizing:

In addition to the official prizing, three booster packs will be included in the prize pool for each registered player in the event and distributed amongst the top 8 players. Additional prizing and promos may be added on and announced on the day of the event.

Deck rules:

This tournament is in the Constructed (Core) format. Each player must bring one deck to the event which they have built ahead of time. Constructed decks must contain at least 60 cards. There is no maximum deck size, but a player must be able to shuffle their deck in a timely manner without assistance. Constructed decks must not contain cards from more than two ink colors. For example, if a deck contains Amber and Amethyst cards, it must not contain any Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, or Steel cards. Constructed decks must not contain more than four of a single card as identified by its full English card name. Character cards with different subtitles are considered different cards for purposes of this rule. For example, a deck may contain up to four copies of Ariel – On Human Legs as well as up to four copies of Ariel – Spectacular Singer. All released cards are legal for this event. You must use the same deck for the duration of the event. Decklist submission will be required. Please submit a hardcopy of your decklist during registration.
