This is our most popular event! Please join us as we walk the trail on the "old Highway 17" by the Dismal Swamp Canal. It is an easy hike on a paved surface surrounded by nature. Along the way we will discuss all things "Dismal Swamp," history, legends, animal, tree and plant species and more. We will also be on the lookout for will muscadine grapes which grow in abundance along the trail. We will schedule for a 3 mile hike, but if it is too hot, we may cut some steps out.
Please bring a hat, insect repellent, a snack and water and a smile. We go if a we have a drizzle, but not during a thunderstorm. Leashed dogs are welcome. We hope to see you there and please bring a friend!
