About this Event
Let's get together and discuss stories from recent issues of the magazine. If you don't subscribe, you can get the magazine online from your library using the "Libby" app or else listen to the podcast "The Writer's Voice" by The New Yorker.
Stories for this meeting will be "Something Familiar" by Mary Gaitskill (3/2 issue), "Calm Sea and Hard Faring" by Yiyun Li (3/9), and "The City is a Graveyard" by Addie Citchins (3/16). Join the discussion whether you read one or all.
Please register to join us at the venue - registration is free. We will be sitting in the cafe in the back, or in the outdoor garden in back of the cafe. There is a small menu of snacks and beverages for sale on Saturday and sales benefit the Friends of the Alameda Library. I will bring a tray of cookies.
Haven't had a chance to read before the gathering? Come at 10 am to the library and read them.
