A Soft Place: A Black Ladies Soirée

There are not enough spaces where Black women can simply soften.

A Soft Place is a spring garden gathering created for Black women to slow down, be nurtured, and enjoy the beauty of community. This afternoon tea party is an invitation to step away from the pace of everyday life and spend a few hours in a space designed for rest, reflection, and joyful connection.

Set in a charming tea garden in Alameda, we will gather around a shared table for a family-style meal, thoughtful conversation, and gentle activities that encourage creativity and self-care.

This is a space to laugh, share stories, meet new women, and remember the beauty of collective care.

Throughout the afternoon you’ll have time to move through several hands-on stations designed to nurture your spirit.

There will be small selection of Black Women owned wellness vendors will for you to explore. You will be able to shop thoughtfully curated goods that support rest, beauty, and care.
