About this Event
Despite all the challenges faced in Croydon over the last three years, the use of a strengths-based approach in our work with residents remains fundamentally important.
Holding strengths-based conversations, (sometimes also known as ‘Good Conversations’), is the starting point of our relational work with residents and should be at the heart of all the preventative work we do. As such, everyone who holds such strengths-based conversations with residents should have the invaluable opportunity to either:
• Develop a full understanding of the importance of holding these conversations and acquire the skills to do so, OR
• Build on their existing knowledge and skillset, refreshing their practice.
So, with this in mind, the three-hour workshop, ‘Discovering What’s Strong, not What’s Wrong - How to hold Effective Strengths-Based Approaches Conversations with Residents’ will be jointly provided by Sarah Burns, Director of Communities at Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA) and Andrew Slegg, Community Led Support officer in Croydon Council.
Venue: Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA) Resource Centre, 82 London Rd, Croydon CR0 2TB
