About this Event
What story are you living? Discovering and Crafting a Mythic Story for Your Life Through the Cards
In-Person Workshop with LIZ HUSTON
The ecosystem of our psyche is populated with Archetypes, and they find expression through us into the outer world. Archetypes appear across time and space and in every single culture through art and mythologies. They are our cultural inheritance. They help us craft meaning through the stories we tell ourselves about our lives, as well as the stories we pass down.
When we say things like “he’s a bully,” “she’s a natural mother,” “they were born to be a teacher,” or “he’s the class clown,” we are invoking collective, archetypal understandings of what it means to “be” this way. This also explains why we feel so disappointed in ourselves when we don’t meet our ideal version of the archetype we are inhabiting.
In this dynamic workshop, Huston guides participants through a series of interactive exercises, engaging the cards within a shared, sacred container to reveal the archetypal themes already shaping our lives and to uncover ways of inviting more empowering stories.
Note: Please bring a journal and something with which to write.

The Los Angeles Festival of Tarot is an annual event presented by James Jude Tarot with the support of The Philosophical Research Society, TarotArts and 22 Teachings. Learn more about the Festival, the Presenters and the 2026 Program of events at www.lafestivaloftarot.com
For the 2026 Los Angeles Festival of Tarot, we invited presenters to explore Tarot as an ecosystem—a network of interrelated symbols, environments, structures, traditions and imaginal worlds.
Ecosystems may be natural or constructed, terrestrial or cosmic, physical or symbolic. Terrain, architecture, weather, oceans, galaxies, communities, and cultural systems are all lenses through which to approach the cards.

About the Facilitator:
(The Dreamkeepers Tarot, The Dreamkeepers Oracle), a native of Los Angeles, may live in a place known for interesting characters, but it's in her imagination where the truly unique characters exist. Entirely self-taught, her artistic expression has evolved considerably; moving from film and photography in the 1990s to the complex mixed media works she is currently known for. Her photography has been featured in Juxtapoz Magazine and Rangefinder Magazine, where she was recognized as one of the “Photographers You Should Know.” She continues to exhibit and sell her artwork in the gallery she has owned and operated since 2012 in Downtown Los Angeles, located inside The Last Bookstore.
Her artistic expression is deeply rooted in her spiritual journey, for she has traveled them in tandem since beginning with the Tarot in 1993. In the decades since, she has traveled the world to learn and receive direct initiations from renowned lineage holders, Priestesses, and teachers in various earth-based magick traditions. A certified shamanic practitioner through the Four Winds Healing the Light Body School, she has also studied with the Q’ero Pacos in the High Andes of Peru.
Liz is the author and artist of The Dreamkeepers Tarot (U.S. Games Systems, Inc.), a project ten years in the making. Her follow-up work, The Dreamkeepers Oracle, is scheduled for release in Summer 2026.
Liz Huston's mixed media art is whimsical, surreal and dreamy, and her esoteric path informs this art in every way. Her complex imagery seems to bridge the worlds; creating not just art, but medicine for the human spirit.
