About this Event
What happens when the ancient voice of the Chinese guzheng meets the lyrical Scottish lever harp and the rhythmic heartbeat of the bodhrán?
In 𝑺𝑶𝑼𝑵𝑫 𝑺𝑻𝑹𝑶𝑲𝑬𝑺, these three distinctive instruments come together to explore the shared spirit of Chinese and Scottish traditions. Inspired by the flowing lines of Chinese calligraphy and elevated by Qiu Yangzi’s photographic artwork Soil Remembers, the music unfolds through rhythm, texture and improvisation—revealing unexpected connections across cultures.
Each instrument carries centuries of tradition. Together, they create a new artistic dialogue where heritage meets imagination.
🎟️ Experience 𝑺𝑶𝑼𝑵𝑫 𝑺𝑻𝑹𝑶𝑲𝑬𝑺 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August.
