Step inside Colchester Castle for a family adventure like no other! Join our fun, interactive tour and uncover more than 2,000 years of fascinating history. Discover stories of Roman characters and their lives in Colchester. Tours run at 11am daily from Monday 25th – Friday 29th May 2026.Perfect for curious young explorers ages 5+ (and their grown‑ups!) this lively experience brings history to life in an exciting and memorable way.
Our tour will go through areas with uneven flooring, low archways and uneven stairs with no lift access. For useful information, such as how to find us and what facilities Colchester Castle has, we recommend reading our Access information. Tickets cost £3.75 per person after admission to the Castle.
Please note that this tour must be purchased in addition to admission tickets or an annual pass.
