Discover Orientation sessions for new students starting in Fall 2026 will take place in August. Orientation is by program. Registration is required (https://www.virginiawestern.edu/discover/ )
You will receive an invitation in your student email to your session with a registration link. Orientation will provide you with a chance to meet your program advisor, use the MyVWCC system (coursework, email, enrollment), receive tips for success in your program, receive career, transfer, and student life information, and connect with fellow new students.
Please refer to the orientation schedule below. A general makeup session will take place on Friday, August 14 if you are unable to attend your program specific session.
Monday, August 10, 1-4pm – Business, Trades, and Technology (BTT) Orientation
Tuesday, August 11, 1-4pm – Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (LASS) Orientation
Wednesday, August 12, 1-4pm – Health Professions (HP) Orientation
Thursday, August 13, 1-4pm – Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Orientation
Friday, August 14, 1-4pm – General/Makeup Session
