About this Event
Join Patty Leslie Pasztor, author, native plant expert, and native habitat advocate, for a spring walk in the Headwaters Sanctuary. Ms. Pasztor will point out native plant species along our forest trails, noting wildlife benefits and opportunities to incorporate native plants into your landscapes. The walk is limited to 12 guests. Registration is required.
Over the years, Ms. Pasztor has produced two Sanctuary plant surveys, organized and supervised North American Butterfly Association Surveys, and led Sanctuary native plant walks and birding events.
Ms. Pasztor has a B.S. degree in Range and Natural Resources Management from Texas A&M University. She worked for nine years as a Native Plant Horticulturist at the San Antonio Botanical Garden. She then held the Park Naturalist position at Friedrich Wilderness Park for several years. Ms. Pasztor teaches workshops on landscaping for wildlife, plant identification, and ethnobotany. She co-authored Texas Trees-A Friendly Guide with Paul Cox.
Participants should wear closed-toe shoes, comfortable attire, and a hat. Do bring a bottle of water.
