The practice of Ilocano traditional weaving is rooted in the migration of Ilocano Filipinos to the U.S. in the early 1900s. Discover its socio-cultural and historical significance and Explore iconic design patterns, their symbolism, and try weaving on small looms. As the second-largest Filipino ethnolinguistic group in the U.S., Ilocanos carry a rich weaving heritage.There will be the opportunity to try weaving on small looms for the first 25 attendees.
