Join Nature Reserves Officer Jessica Halpin for a guided walk through Glenarm Nature Reserve [https://www.ulsterwildlife.org/nature-reserves/glenarm], one of the finest examples of ancient woodland in Northern Ireland. Set within a beautiful wooded river valley, this special place comes alive in summer with wildlife to see and hear at every turn.As you explore the reserve, look out for butterflies like the silver-washed fritillary and wood white, and listen for the songs of blackcap, willow warbler and chiffchaff in the canopy. Along the river, keep your eyes peeled for dipper, grey wagtail and even kingfisher, while mammals such as red squirrel, pine marten and otter call this woodland home.
* Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for an outdoor event.
* The walk will be no longer than 3 miles.
* From the meeting point, we will car share/travel in convoy to the nature reserve.
This event is exclusively for Ulster Wildlife members. When booking, you will be asked to provide evidence of your membership. A waiting list is available and you will be notified if a place becomes available.
