Join Plant Me Baby for Discover Gardening, a fun and interactive 3-day gardening workshop designed for beginners, families, aspiring gardeners, and plant lovers of all ages.
Over the course of three days, participants will learn the fundamentals of growing food, caring for plants, and creating sustainable garden spaces through hands-on activities and real-life demonstrations. We'll spend time both at Plant Me Baby HQ and at our nearby community garden, where you'll gain practical experience working directly in a garden setting.
Topics include:
• Understanding Garden Zones & Seasonal Growing
• Starting Seeds Successfully
• Different Types of Container Gardening
• Soil Health & Composting Basics
• Common Garden Pests & Natural Pest Control Methods
• Garden Planning & Plant Selection
• Hands-On Gardening Techniques
Participants will walk to the community garden each day, so please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for outdoor activities.
What to Bring:
• Gardening gloves
• Hand trowel or small gardening tools
• Water bottle
• Notebook and pen
• Sunscreen and hat (recommended)
