Discover Dijilele in Toronto

Join us for an interactive introduction to Dijilele M, a digital microtonal instrument designed to open new possibilities for musical expression, learning, and exploration.

During the event, the founders of Dijilele will share the story behind the instrument- from the first idea to its development here in Canada. You’ll learn what makes Dijilele M unique and how it brings together the familiarity of a fretted instrument with the flexibility of digital sound, alternative tuning systems, and microtonal music.

Award-winning film composer and music educator Mehrdad Jafari Raad will perform with Dijilele M and demonstrate some of its musical possibilities. Guests will also have the opportunity to try the instrument, explore its sounds, and speak directly with the team behind it.

Light refreshments will be provided. Whether you are a musician, educator, music learner, or simply curious about new musical technology, you are warmly invited to join us.

The event will be held in the party room on the ground floor. From the visitor parking lot, take the stairs or elevator to the ground floor. The party room is directly across from the elevator.
