This tour follows the artists and filmmakers who have used the city's streets, buildings, and neighbourhoods to picture the world
About this Event

See Toronto through the eyes of artists and filmmakers, exploring how the city's streets have been imagined on screen, in visual art, and in popular culture, from the works of the Group of Seven to Disney's Turning Red.

Explore how streets, buildings, and neighbourhoods in the heart of Toronto’s downtown have been captured, transformed, and reimagined through art and film. From a futuristic City Hall that has stood in for other worlds to university buildings disguised as Harvard and Princeton, discover why Toronto has spent decades playing everywhere but itself. Along the way, trace connections between the city and artists like Lawren Harris and William Kurelek, and visit locations featured in productions including Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Turning Red, and Mean Girls
