Discover Chinese Culture – Free Lunchtime Workshops!Join us for a series of creative and relaxing lunchtime workshops celebrating the beauty of Chinese arts and crafts. Each week, you can explore a different traditional skill, guided by tutors from the Bangor University Confucius Institute.

This workshop introduces participants to Dian Cha, a traditional Chinese tea preparation method dating back to the Song Dynasty. Through demonstration and hands-on participation, attendees will explore how tea was prepared, shared, and appreciated in ancient China.
In this workshop, you will:
Learn about the origins and cultural significance of Dian Cha in Chinese tea history
Discover how tea was prepared and enjoyed during the Song Dynasty
Practise whisking tea to create a smooth, foamy texture
Experience a calm and reflective introduction to traditional Chinese tea culture
All materials will be provided. This session offers a peaceful and sensory cultural experience suitable for all participants.
