About this Event

Most disaster preparedness programs are built for households. This one is built for your business.

BCIC eBridge Center and Prairie View A&M University Cooperative Extension Program are bringing together experts from the SBA, Texas Division of Emergency Management, and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension to give small business owners the information they actually need before the next disaster hits and after it does.

After the session, you'll walk away knowing:

  • How to safely operate a generator to keep your business running during an outage.
  • What SBA disaster loans cover, who qualifies, and how to apply.
  • How federal disaster declarations work — and why reporting your business losses can help your entire community access recovery resources.
  • What disaster assessment and recovery tools are available to you through Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.

Generator raffle:

Two generators will be raffled off at the event. You must be registered and present to be eligible to win.
