Overview:
As we head into June, hurricane season officially begins!
To help you and your family stay informed, prepared, and safe, the Scientology Volunteer Ministers teamed up with Pinellas County Emergency Management, The Red Cross and local nonprofits to provide resources, guidance, and helpful tips that all Florida residents need in the case of a hurricane.
More than 10 Disaster Preparedness partners will be on-site offering free resources for emergency situations.
You and your family can learn how to:
· Prepare for power outages
· Protect your home from water damage
· Tips to prepare for flooding
· Safely store and prepare food
· Red Cross shelters, where, when and how
· Emergency first aid and CPR
· Survival tips
· And more…
Being prepared can make all the difference during hurricane season, and this event is a great opportunity to get the information you need.
The expo spans 7 buildings side-by-side along that block, starting at the Clearwater Community Volunteer Center which is 133 N. Fort Harrison Ave.
There is free parking in the lot behind that building.
