About this Event
Last year NI Museums Council collaborated with ICON NI and ICRI to bring the Heritage Emergencies Study Day to the NI museum and heritage sector.
In your feedback you told us that you wanted more in person and in depth training looking at disaster planning and emergency salvage, with opportunities for practical exercises.
Join us on March 25th for the next stage of training, delivered by Spencer & Fry.
About this event
Gain confidence in emergency planning and salvage for collections. This course will cover all aspects of emergency planning, including prevention measures, what makes a good emergency plan and how to protect and rescue collections.
Practical sessions will give you the opportunity to get hands-on experience of salvage techniques.
Lunch will be provided.
By the end of the session, attendees will:
- Understand why emergency planning is important
- Have gained knowledge to help you respond to an emergency situation for your collection
- Be able to update or write an emergency plan
