About this Event
Research about queer and disabled sexual experiences are sorely lacking. Collaboratively, Queer Out Loud CIC and Bath Spa University's 'We Are The People' project seeks to change this.
Join Dr Stuart Read, Mimi Jones, Stu Watson and Jua OK! in discussing their research project and comic. This event is a launch for their illustrated research output, and a chance for the community to learn more about what was discoverd.
Queer Out Loud and We Are The People are firm believers that no research should be done about a community without the communities involvment. This includes ensuring the community is able to access the final pieces. The comic is, and always will be, free to all. You can pick up your copy at the launch, or at community spaces across Plymouth.
The panel discussion features Dr Stuart Read (lead researcher), Mimi Jones (Queer Out Loud director), Stu Watson (Queer Out Loud director and Marjon University Lecturer) and Jua OK! (Illustrator). This will be chaired by Mal Biele. There will be an oppotunity for audience members to ask questions
This panel discussion, and comic, will contain themes of a sexual nature and is not suitable for young children. It is recomended that audience members are 16+
