All are welcome to the Diocesan Chrism Eucharist.
It is a symbolic way of encouraging each other to remind ourselves that “we are clay jars”, gifted with the awesome privilege and responsibility of telling forth the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ.
In Holy Week, Christian people gather in the Mother Church of the diocese with their bishops, deacons and priests around the diocesan bishop to celebrate the Chrism Eucharist.
President & Preacher: Her Grace the Archbishop
Clergy: albs and white stoles.
Light lunch follows in the Upper Burt Memorial Hall and a talk given afterwards by Canon Dr Paula Gooder, Canon Chancellor, St Paul's Cathedral, London.
